The Chamber Music Institute for Young Musicians, Inc. was created by the
Lumina
String Quartet so that talented students could learn and perform the major repertory
- Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and Bartok in the beautiful
setting of the Performing Arts Center in Stamford, CT. In its eight years, the Chamber
Music Institute for Young Musicians has grown from one string quartet to fifteen string
quartets, with Lumina coaching young people in quartet performance.
